  • All-India RTC clearing price dropped by 7.49% as went from 3.14 Rs/kWh to 2.91 Rs/kWh. Purchase bid quantum also saw a drop of 8.97% as it went from 129.3 MUs to 117.7 MUs whereas sales bid quantum increased by 6.28% as it went from 219.5 MUs to 233.3 MUs.
  • Northern Region: In total 1920 MW units at state level got shut down on 1st January 2018(afternoon) which includes 660 MW unit of Kawai Thermal Power Station from Rajasthan, 660 MW unit of Talwandi Saboo Thermal Power Station from a Punjab and 600 MW unit of Rajiv Gandhi TPP from Haryana.
  • Southern Region: At the state level, 600 MW unit of Kakatiya Stage-1 and Stage-2 from Telangana went under shutdown on 1st January 2018(evening), 500 MW unit of Vijayawada Thermal Power Station from Andhra Pradesh also went under shutdown in above time frame.
  • Eastern Region: A 500 MW unit of Koderma TPS from Jharkhand went under shutdown on 1st of this month (night) due to boiler tube leakage. GMR 350 MW unit of Odisha plant was revived on above timeline which was under shutdown from 29th December 2017.
