Market Intelligence Summary

  • NR: Delhi, as average power requirement from the grid, had increased from 3360 MW/hr to 3604 MW/hr. To cater this surge they had increased procurement from long-term OA mainly from Adani Power Limited Gujrat and from IEX.
  • SR: As the power procurement for Kerala had reduced from Talcher TPS and from long-term OA market mainly from Maithon Power Limited and Mejia TPS. This might had caused them to increase procurement from IEX.
  • SR: In last two days in total 1320 MW units got revived which included a 500 MW unit of Kakatiya TPS and 600 MW unit of Coastal Energen TPP.
  • NR: Although for Jammu and Kashmir the power requirement from grid did not change much. Since their procurement from central power station had reduced massively by 7.22 MUs mainly from NTPC Dadri(Gas fired), NTPC Jhajjar and from Rihand TPS which might have caused them to increase procurement from IEX.
  • SR: For Andhra Pradesh, as power requirement in almost 85% of the time block had reduced which had caused them to reduce power procurement from IEX.
  • Rainfall: Possibility of rainfall in isolated parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Tamil Nadu.
