Short Term Bilateral: No major action was seen in the any the northern, western or southern region bilateral power market. Only a handful of private sector generators changed their sales quanta. Power demand in the southern region was low as entities did not buy any significant volume in the bilateral or the day-ahead market.

Power Exchanges: All-India RTC clearing price continue to test, albeit unsuccessfully, its medium-term resistance of Rs 3.00/kWh. Pressure from the supply side restricted the clearing price to Rs 2.94/kWh. Consistency in supply is enabling sideways movement for the prices. For a breakout in prices, supply has to increase and remain high on a consistent basis.
