New Delhi, 23 February 2011: As project developers race to get their projects registered under Renewable Energy Certificate scheme, an interesting trend has slowly been emerging.
Maharashtra Energy Development Agency recently accredited 14 new projects under the Renewable Energy Certificate scheme. 4 of these projects are bagasse-based projects, 1 biomass-based power project and 9 wind power projects.
New Delhi, 22 February 2011: Maharashtra state nodal agency for Renewable Energy Certificate scheme has granted accreditation to 14 projects. The projects are based on biomass combustion, bagasse cogeneration and wind energy technologies.
New Delhi, 18 Februray, 2011: Independent studies recently released by the World Bank and a Pune-based group Prayaas compare the Indian states on the basis of the percentage of renewable energy-based power generation.

New Delhi, 4 February 2011: Mahavir Energy and Coal Beneficiation Limited’s 12 MW biomass power project in Chhattisgarh has become India’s first CDM-registered project to be accredited under the Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) scheme.
New Delhi, 3 February 2011: A 12 MW biomass power plant has been accredited by the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CSREDA) for earning Renewable Energy Certificates.
