  • All-India RTC clearing price noticed a further increase of 12% as it went from 4.09 Rs/kWh to 4.58 Rs/kWh. Purchase bid volume also noticed an increase of 15.2% as it went from 172.0 MUs to 198.2 MUs and sales bid further noticed a decline of 3.83% as it went from 177.1 MUs to 170.3 MUs for the day.
  • Transmission Corridor: For ER to NER, total transfer capability reduced by 330 MW from 0800 to 1700 and 2300 to 2400 hour time blocks and by 310 MW in 1700 to 2300 hour time blocks for 18th May 2018 due to the daytime shutdown of 400 kV Bongaigaon-Azara S/C.
  • Southern Region: At the central level, 500 MW unit of Ramagundam plant went under shutdown on 16th May 2018 and 600 MW unit of Coastal energy was revived which was under shutdown from 12th of this month due to coal shortage.
